Reggae, hip hop, street art and freestyle in the heart of Salento, since 2016.
From the beginning to today
OnStage is born in Botrugno
On 10 February twenty friends found the association, to give the town's young people a platform for the events they love. On 29 July the first edition of the Salento Summerclash, a reggae soundclash with four sound systems.
RestArt is born
On 5 May RestArt - Suburban StreetArt Fest debuts: a mural on the steps of via XX Settembre, murals and freestyle contests, a hip hop night. Meanwhile Giovedì Ciak brings art-house cinema to the Cinema Aurora.
Pandemic and generational change
Activity stops and many longtime members leave the group. New young people join from Botrugno, Minervino and the neighbouring towns: OnStage chooses to remain a young association.
The restart with Urban Connection
In autumn the new group starts again with small, low-cost events: reggae and hip hop DJ sets every Friday, together with local venues.
Restart, the second edition
On 18 June in via XX Settembre a challenge between street writers, a new mural and a live show: a milestone in our journey.
The Salento Block Battle is born
Our freestyle competition debuts in Botrugno. It returns on 16 August 2024 and in 2025, the year of the third edition of Restart.
Ten years, a new organization
A new Members' Register with 40 registrations, the Crew Handbook, the fourth edition of the Salento Block Battle on 12 August and the first applications for national grants.
What we do
RestArt
Botrugno's street art festival: murals, writer contests, freestyle and live music in the street, with the neighbourhood following the artists' work day by day.
Salento Block Battle
The freestyle competition born in Botrugno in 2023. On 12 August 2026 the fourth edition, the first with the app for food and drink orders.
