Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about this tool.

  • Is it also suitable for people who don't rap?

Absolutely. Diction and voice projection exercises are useful for speakers, teachers, politicians, actors and anyone who wants to improve their verbal communication. The hip-hop context makes the exercises more motivating for young people.
  • How does the syllable speed test work?

Read a text shown on screen aloud while the system (optionally using the microphone) estimates your speech rate via the Web Audio API. The target for technical rap is 6-8 syllables per second.
  • Do I need a microphone?

Not for reading and tongue-twister exercises. The microphone is optional for the syllable speed test (automatic estimate) and the diction trainer (feedback analysis). It also works without a microphone, using manual self-assessment.
  • Do the exercises use the Salento dialect?

A special section includes tongue twisters in the Salento dialect and exercises for sounds typical of the Lecce dialect (doubled consonants, open vowels). Useful both for showcasing the dialect and for those who want to use it in rap.
  • Can I use it in class with a group?

Yes, "classroom" mode displays the exercises full-size on the projector. The facilitator controls the timer and exercise progression. Each student can download their personal sheet to continue at home.
