What image formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and HEIC (on supported browsers). Output is always JPEG or WebP (configurable). Transparent PNGs are converted with white background.

Are photos sent to your servers?

No: compression happens entirely in your browser via Canvas API and Web Worker. No photos are ever sent to our servers.

Why are EXIF data removed?

EXIF data can contain shot geolocation, device model, and other personal metadata. Default removal protects photographers' privacy.

What's the difference between "quality" and "max size"?

Quality is the JPEG compression level (0-100). Max file size is an absolute limit in KB: the system automatically reduces quality until the file is below the threshold.

Can I compress photos for WhatsApp or social media?

Yes: use "Social" preset (800px, max 300 KB) for Facebook/Instagram or "WhatsApp" (1600px, max 800 KB). Presets are configurable in advanced settings.

Is the ZIP file compatible with all systems?

Yes: ZIP is generated using JSZip library with standard deflate. It opens natively on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and all Linux systems.
