  • Can Unsplash images be used for commercial covers?

    Unsplash images have a free license for commercial use, including music covers, as long as the individual image file is not resold. Always check the specific license of each photo on the Unsplash website.

  • Is the mood board the final cover?

    No, the mood board is a tool for inspiration and for communicating the creative vision. The final cover for streaming distribution (Spotify, Apple Music) must be 3000x3000px and follow each platform's guidelines. The tool generates a preview PNG suitable for communication.

  • Can I upload my own photos instead of using Unsplash?

    Yes, there is an option to upload images from your device (up to 5 photos, max 10MB each). Uploaded photos are processed only in the browser and are never sent to the server.

  • How do you use it to communicate with a designer?

    Create the mood board, add text notes to sections (e.g. "this color for the background", "this mood for the font"), download the PNG and send it to the designer as a visual brief. It drastically reduces revision cycles.

  • Does it support formats other than the square cover?

    Yes, other formats are also available: landscape 16:9 (for music videos and social banners), portrait 4:5 (Instagram posts) and story 9:16. Each format has preset templates for platform requirements.
