Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about this tool.

  • What is a Community Education Pact?

It is an agreement between the school, families, local institutions and the Third Sector that sets shared goals for educational success and for tackling early school leaving. It originated as a tool of the National Digital School Plan and of school three-year education plans (PTOF).
  • Who can promote it?

The school, the municipality, an association like OnStage, or a CSV (volunteer support centre). Involving the school board and the municipal administration is essential.
  • Is it required by any law?

The Education Pact is referred to in the ministry practice around the PTOF (Piano Triennale dell'Offerta Formativa, the three-year school education plan) and the involvement of the educating community. For the precise legal reference that applies to your own school, check with the school office or with your local school authority (ufficio scolastico territoriale).
  • How many pages is the generated document?

Usually 3-5 pages: introduction, specific goals, commitments from each signatory, evaluation indicators, duration and renewal terms. The wizard adapts it to local specifics.
  • Does the pact have legal value?

It is a statement of intent with moral and organizational value, not a contract with strict legal obligations. However, when signed by a public body such as the municipality, it takes on relevance as an administrative act.
