School Climate Questionnaire

Measure the wellbeing and relational climate of the class

It will be a questionnaire for measuring the relational climate and perceived wellbeing in the classroom, across four dimensions: inclusion, respect, safety and collaboration. The aggregated, anonymous results should help teachers and school leaders spot at-risk classes and plan preventive action.

  • It will offer 30 Likert-scale items, organized in 4 dimensions
  • It will return aggregated, anonymous results by class and school building
  • It will generate a graphical report for the class council
  • It will be designed in line with the ministry guidance on inclusion and wellbeing at school

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about this tool.

  • Are the survey results anonymous?

Yes, respondents do not enter any identifying information. Results are always aggregated by class. No individual data is accessible to teachers or head teachers.
  • How often should it be given?

Recommended twice a year (October and April) to track seasonal changes and the impact of educational interventions. The tool keeps a history for comparison over time.
  • Can I customize the questions?

The core questionnaire is standardized to ensure comparability. You can add up to 5 custom open-ended questions per school. The core's closed questions cannot be changed.
  • Does the tool replace the school psychologist?

Absolutely not. It is an early screening tool to help direct resources. Interpreting the results and planning interventions must be done by professionals (school psychologist, inclusion coordinator, head teacher).
  • How do I activate the questionnaire for my school?

Contact OnStage APS to arrange a partnership. We provide training for lead teachers and support with administering the survey and interpreting the results, as part of the OnStage anti-bullying project.
