Frequently asked questions

Is the lottery truly random?

Yes: we use the Fisher-Yates algorithm with random numbers generated by crypto.getRandomValues() (CSPRNG), the browser's cryptographically secure generator. It's not predictable or manipulable.

Can I draw multiple winners at once?

Yes: set the number of draws in the "Draw N names" field. Each name is drawn without repetition from the list.

How does team division work?

Select "Divide into teams" and specify the number of teams. Names are shuffled with Fisher-Yates and then distributed evenly (with any remainder assigned to the first teams).

Is the roulette animation accessible?

The animation respects prefers-reduced-motion: on devices with this preference, the draw happens without animation but with an aria-live announcement of the result.

Can I import the names list from CSV?

Yes: paste names separated by comma, semicolon, or newline in the text area. The system recognizes them automatically and removes duplicates and blank spaces.

Are the results saved?

The last draw result is visible until you close the page. There's no permanent save. If you need to track draws, copy the result or download the PDF.
