Frequently asked questions
Is stage fright normal?
Yes, it is almost universal. Even artists like Adele and Eminem have described intense stage fright. The difference between those who perform well and those who don't isn't the absence of anxiety, but the ability to manage it.
Is the test clinically validated?
It is based on the K-MPAI (Kenny Music Performance Anxiety Inventory, 2009), an academically recognized tool. The version presented here is adapted to Italian for non-musician performers. It has no diagnostic value.
Are my results saved?
No. The test works completely offline in your browser. No data is sent to servers. You can save your profile as PNG via the export button.
What if my score is very high?
A high score indicates that stage fright is significantly impacting your performance or quality of life. In this case, we recommend speaking with a psychologist specializing in performance psychology or performing arts. The test includes practical suggestions but does not replace professional support.
Can I use it with OnStage workshop participants?
Yes, the test is suitable from age 14 and up with adult supervision. OnStage APS uses it in its workshops to measure the effectiveness of training programs before and after workshop cycles.
