Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about this tool.

  • Why is it useful to train with tap rhythm?

A sense of rhythm is fundamental for an MC: keeping syllables on time, anticipating the beat ("ahead of the beat"), working on pauses. The tap rhythm trainer builds internal timing without always relying on an external metronome.
  • How is tap precision measured?

The system calculates the deviation in milliseconds between the user's tap and the ideal beat. Under 30ms is considered "on time", 30-80ms is "acceptable", over 80ms is "off time". The session score shows the distribution of errors.
  • Does it work on mobile?

Yes, tapping on a touchscreen has the same precision as the keyboard. On mobile, headphones are recommended to reduce audio latency and get more accurate measurements.
  • What are "triplets" in rap?

Triplets divide a quarter note into three equal parts instead of two. It's a technique widely used in modern rap (Kendrick Lamar, Migos' "Dirty Bird"). The trainer includes specific exercises for alternating duples and triplets.
  • Can I export the session data?

Yes, each session is saved locally and you can export it as CSV (timestamp of each tap, deviation, BPM). Useful for tutors who want to track students' progress over time.
