  • Are recordings saved on the server?

    No, recordings stay in the browser for the current session only. Download is instant and the file is never sent to our server. This guarantees privacy for artists with unreleased material.

  • What quality does the recording have?

    WAV at 44.1kHz/16bit (CD quality). If the browser supports the OPUS codec, it's used as the native format and then converted to lossless WAV for download. Useful for voice memos and freestyles, not for professional studio recordings.

  • Can I record multiple tracks and compare them?

    The recorder is single-track. However, you can record multiple versions and download them all for an offline comparison. A multi-take feature is on the roadmap for future versions.

  • Does it work with professional USB microphones?

    Yes, the tool uses the Web Audio API, which accesses any audio device recognised by the operating system. From laptop microphones to USB/XLR microphones (with an audio interface). Quality depends on the hardware.

  • Can I use it during a workshop to record participants' freestyles?

    Absolutely. With a tablet and a good USB microphone, the facilitator can record every freestyle and send the WAV file to the participant via Airdrop, email or direct download. No account needed.
