Restart 2025: the third edition, in via Paolo VI

On 18 April 2025 Restart returned to Botrugno for its third edition. It was a smaller edition: live painting and a DJ set in via Paolo VI.
Compared with the two previous editions the street and the scale changed, but the event born seven years earlier stayed alive. In the same year the association also organised the third edition of Salento Block Battle, its freestyle contest.
The previous editions
- 5 May 2018, RestArt - Suburban StreetArt Fest. The first edition: a mural painted by Gino Palma on the steps of via XX Settembre, a mural contest, a freestyle contest and a hip hop night, under the patronage of the Municipality of Botrugno. The people of the neighbourhood followed the artist's work day by day.
- 18 June 2022, Restart. The second edition, again in via XX Settembre: a challenge between street writers, the unveiling of a new mural and a live show with several artists on stage. For the association it was a milestone.
Why live painting
Live painting keeps at the centre what RestArt has always valued most: a work of art that grows in front of people, in the street, instead of appearing once it is finished.
