Download the Articles of AssociationHow to become a member
Anyone wishing to join submits an application to the Board of Directors, which is the body empowered to decide on admission and resolves upon it within thirty days (art. 7). Acceptance is communicated to the applicant within ten days of the resolution, and the new member is entered in the register of members. Applications from minors are countersigned by whoever holds parental responsibility.
The membership fee
The amount of the annual fee is set by resolution of the Board of Directors (art. 19). Membership fees and contributions are neither transferable nor revaluable (art. 8 §4); a member who withdraws or is expelled has no right to the return of the fees paid, nor any right over the assets of the association (art. 9 §4).
How membership ends
Membership is lost by voluntary withdrawal, notified in writing to the Board of Directors and effective immediately; by failure to pay the annual fee after the Board has given notice with a reasonable period in which to pay; or by expulsion resolved upon with stated grounds, against which an appeal to the General Meeting is allowed (art. 9).
The corporate books
The association keeps the register of members, the minute book of the General Meeting, that of the Board of Directors, and the register of volunteers (art. 27). Every member has the right to examine them by applying to the Board of Directors, which acts on the request within fifteen days (art. 8).
